Product Description
I am starting this page in hopes of saving my dear friends life. Please donate if you are able. The world is a better and funnier place with him around. Bob was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease in 1990. His three-month radiation treatment damaged his heart, causing dilated cardiomyopathy, and he was subsequently diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. In 2008, Bob’s heart needed a pacemaker, and it has required replacement every five years. It’s been a long, hard thirty years for Bob, and his heart has finally reached a point where nothing can be done except a transplant. Bob’s case has been reviewed by the transplant team at Vanderbilt University, and he will be accepted into their program once he meets a few requirements, including enough funding to secure his placement. The required amount is $30,000. This will cover his transfer to Nashville, get him through surgery/hospital stay, and cover rent for an apartment during recovery. He’ll need to stay close to the hospital for at least three months, but it could take up to twelve before he is released from Vanderbilt’s care. If you are able to contribute, we would be so grateful. (We’d like to keep this knucklehead around.)
